Is composed by 5 veterinarians and one biologist specialized in medical care for wild, exotic and zoo animals living in Countries with social, economic and environmental problems. Italian wildlife and Zoo Veterinary Emergency Team Onlus has been created by their experience,competence, rapidity and ability in medical care problem solving .

Born in Moncalieri (To)02/02/1972, graduated from Turin Veterinary University in 2000, has achieved the certification to pratice veterinary medicine in the same year and in 2001 began practicing. Before and after the degree he specialized in capturing wild and exotic animals, hoofed animals,big carnivorous animals by physical ways, tranquilizer guns,in the distance sedation and long-distance transport of animals to various rescue centres in England and south/north Ireland. In 2001 and 2003 he organized the transportation of Montalenghe(To) ex-Zoo animals and about 100 animals of Neaple’s Zoo transferred to rescue centres in Spain, England and north of Italy. He cooperated with International organizations, associations, government authorities in south America, Middle Est, Asian Southeast for the capture of hoofed animals,big carnivorous animals and pachyderms. He also captured lots of pets especially dangerous dogs in Sicily, Calabria, Piedmont, Valle D’Aosta. As expert in capturing skills, he kept training course for CFS’ agents in the north of Italy. From 2009 he is hospital Director of the Veterinary health centre by Italian Wildlife and Zoo Veterinary Emergency Team Onlus, specialized in wild and exotic animals’ surgery.

Born in Würzburg/Germany in 1966,he obteined the academic degree in “Veterinary Public Health” at Utrecht University in Netherlands and graduated from Perugia Veterinary University in 1995. In the same year he licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Munich. From 1995 to 1998 he worked as veterinarian Assistant at Munich zoological garden,in 1998 is Doctor in Surgery and Anaesthesia research at Munich Veterinary University.
From 1998 is veterinary director at zoological Garden of Rome (Bioparco Spa) and from 2001 is health director at the same zoological Garden. He specialized in infectious disease, prophylaxis and veterinary policy and from 2002 is president of Italian Veterinarians Society for wild and zoo animals board of Directors (S.i.v.a.s.Zoo) and national session E.A.Z.W.V.he was member of technical board for Lazio for the detention of Exotic animals, in 2002 he specialized in “fauna management in urban and agricolture-silvestrian enviroment”, from 2004 he is lecturer at “Federico II” Veterinary University in Neaples and wrote international scientific articles about wild and exotic animales Pathologies; from 2008 he is health director of a surgery and endoscopy clinic in Rome, Vice President of the Italian Society of Veterinary Surgery and Endoscopy and speaker at conventions about veterinary medicine for wild animals.
Charter Member of the Association “Animal Rescue”of Rome, well experienced in capturing wild, exotic and domestic animals in dangerous situations,professional consultant of the VVF Provincial department, speaker at training courses about capturing and transporting wild dogs for the Municipality of Rome by in the distance sedation, professional consultant for Vier Pfoten Int. For capturing, sterilization and release of wild dogs in eastern Europe.

Experienced with wild animals: organization and attendance to training about veterinary medicine, capture of -in captivity- wild animals, hoofed animals,big carnivorous animals by phisical and chimical ways; capture of missing pets like cats, wild dogs, livestock in urban centre. Member of the association ANIMAL RESCUE in charge of capturing and coming to the rescue of hurted or wild animals in the urban centre of Rome (reptiles, birds and mammals).

Primate Keeper (monkeys) for the zoological garden in Rome. Currently Field Assistant of a wild animal structure for capturing wild dogs in urban centres. Veterinarian assistant in a veterinary clinic for minimally invasive surgery and diagnostic endoscopy for pets,wild and exotic animals.

Paolo Cavicchio, born in Pistoia June 14th 1966 graduated from Pisa Veterinary University in the academic year 1990-1991 with a final score of 110 and honors (highest possible grade in the Italian system).
In 1991-1992 he attended a post degree training about “veterinary of exotic animals” at “Tierpark Hellabrunn”in Muenchen (De).
From 1992 he is Veterinarian and (from 1994) Director at Pistoia’s zoological garden.
From 1996 he is councilman of “Italian Union of Zoo and Aquarium”(U.I.Z.A).
From 2000 to 2006 he was member of scientific board C.I.T.E.S. at Department of Natural Resources.
From 2002 he is member of Italian Veterinarians Society for wild and zoo animals board of Directors (S.i.v.a.s.Zoo) and in 2003-2004 he was President of European Association of Zoo and Wildlife Veterinarians (E.A.Z.W.V.).
Speaker for Veterinary medicine conventions and writer of articles about Veterinary medicine for wild animals and their safeguard/ex situ.

Born in Cosenza in 01/20/1973. Graduated from Bari Veterinary University in 11/12/2001 in Veterinary Medicine and defence a thesis about “Lycaon pictus:powerless and immunology of genes of an experimental vaccine”.
From 1997 he cooperates with Zoo Veterinary departments in Italy and abroad.
On April and May 2000 he worked as volunteer at Veterinary Dept. Of Singapore Zoological garden.
In 2001 he cooperated with Bioparc of Rome for an inactive vaccine against Lycaon pictus.
From April to September 2002 he completed a post graduate training by the Veterinary Dept. Of Singapore zoological Garden. 2001-2003, he worked as free-lance in the field of veterinary research at DISBA of Veterinary University of Bari,in 2007 is DPhil in “Animal pathology and health”, in 2006 he won the cheque for the reasearch about “Vaccines for prophylaxis of the Herpesvirus-1 goats infection” (CpHV-1).
In 2005,2006,2007 he kept courses about “infectious diseases of exotic and non conventional animals” .
In 2009 he kept a course about “Management and breeding tecniques of non conventional animals: amphibians and reptiles” in the contest of the Master “animals science applied”.
From 2003 he is member of SIVAS ZOO (italian veterinarians Society for wild and zoo animals) and from 2009 he works in the managerial area. From 2005 he cooperates for safeguarding of wild and zoo animals with various associations in Romania, India and Ecuador.
From August 2009 he cooperates with the “Einaudi Veterinary Clinic” in Bari and he is veterinarian at Neaples’s Zoo.
Writer and co-author of more than 83 articles of National and International magazines (42 articles on magazines under the judgement of referee) and 3 remarks to International congresses.

Pietro Laricchiuta, born in Bari 03/06/1972 graduated from Bari Veterinary University in 09/07/1998 with a thesis about “Wild felines Herpes isolation” with a final score of 110. In 2007 he specialized in infectious disease and public health at Bari Veterinary University. From 1998 to 2000 he attended post degree training at Barcelona’s zoological garden, Night safari, Jurong bird park, wildlife reserves at Singapore. He cooperated as “anasthesia team leader” with the National Health Institute (USA) for FIV on field study on wild lions in Okavango’s delta. From 2002 to 2007 he is veterinarian at Safari’s zoo garden in Fasano (Br). From 2009 he is Director of zoological collection at Neaple’s zoo. From 2004 he is anasthesia director at Einaudi Veterinary Centre (Ba) and veterinarian at zoological gardens in Italy and abroad. He is specialized in internal medicine, infectious disease, anasthesia, capture and transport of zoo animals with specialization for mammals, reptiles and birds. Speaker at conventions about zoo medicine. Writer an co-author of articles about veterinary medicine for wild and zoo animals. Charter member of Sivas Zoo board of Directors.
